Septolet

A septolet is a short poem made up of fourteen words. The poem is divided into two stanzas that share one clear image or idea. Each stanza can have seven words, but that’s not required — what matters is that the total word count is fourteen.

The two stanzas should feel connected, like two parts of one picture or emotion. A septolet often reads like a small moment or a gentle thought.
