What I See In Her     by Joseph Michael Yeary

Her words…

Soft whispers of passion’s intentions

Melt over me with each sweet syllable

Caressing my ears, my heart, my soul

Her beauty…

Has no rival to envy over

Eyes like an emerald ocean

An aphrodisiac that consumes me

Her mind…

Boundless perception and verve

Capturing life’s acquaintance

Such vitality evokes my thirst

Her soul…

Where my heart’s days linger

In sweet rapture, longing for her

Where I awaken, desire, and live

Her touch…

Soft caresses tantalize my being

Her fingers tease my soul, and rouse desire

Clutching my heart in her sensual grasp

Her love…

Such sweet and utter perfection

Seizing my being with all she is

A perfect union of heart and soul

All of her…

All words fall tragically short of description

Full of endless wonder, flawless precision

Fulfillment she brings with each gentle kiss

Awaiting          by Ivana Plucinski

Streaming enticements,
Sparkling water over original stone,
Regrets left in younger mountains
Tho’ rapids more deep become opaque,
Dangerous on rainy days
More perilous too,
Mistaking soul for mirror plane
Of standing wave

Where Lorelei in siren song
Commands the rock,
Free falling through rainbows
And on through shallow
Pools of time, dolomite glints
And marble gleams ne’er sensed
A more full course
When marigold flowers waited

That valley white cut
To narrow cliffs of certainty
Becomes more vague
To touch the granite,
To scent the mint and mud,
Now probability is spread

Those atoms turned to element,
Compounded make solution
Of earth questions,
Outward forms of knowing
Have forgotten who will ask
In river dreams

He will come to make
Your mountains ache,
Your valley cliffs to rise cocksure
Ions of pink spin once more
In your rainbows,
Reversing flows of sea salt,
Back into your latent heat,
Where tagetes is still waiting...

Do we die?      by Andrew Kelly

in this manse we cry out                                                                                       We refuse to fade quiet
and let wrinkled dry limbs
tell our Minds to sleep.
We are told to hush now!
Be quiet
Dreams are for the still Unshaped Mind yet
we still ennoble our shrivelled
imaginations.
We may be seventy-two today so
we do not climb the Mountain
We Create it!
We form the treescapes and
turn the infertile into
thundering Oak and resting
Willow.
Tomorrow we might fashion a fountain
in the Piazza or
birthe an angry Griffon
in the sky
Because
We
Are
Immortal

The Color You Call Blue       by Ray Neighbor

you can write about your wars

the battles you've won or lost

you can sing about your highways

all the souvenirs you tossed

tell me all about sweet marie

how she left you all alone

how you wanted to end it all

how the pain went to the bone

you can drop down to your knees

cry the whole night through

somewhere someone lays alone

from a wound cut clean an true

somewhere someone is bleedin

for the color you call blue

sing me about your bad times

sing me and make me cry

tell me about your lost plans

and every dream you watched die

sing me loud your misery

let the world know your pain

tell it how confused you are

how it feels alone in the rain

tell me how it feels my friend

sing me about the life that's you

somewhere someone is bleedin

for the color you call blue

tell me about every alley way

every wrong turn you've ever made

let people know how unfair life is

represent all the bruises laid

write a song of a river deep

about the mountains you have faced

tell me how helpless feels

when everything you love's erased

tell me about how hard you tried

but everything you tried went wrong

sing me all about your path

put every failure in your song

when you have screamed out every hurt

you have thrown out all that's true

somewhere someone's bleedin

for the color you call blue..

Suddenly            by Milagros Cruz

Suddenly is what came from the mouth that I so sweetly kissed

All is gone to the darkness of the disillusioned

A place where the feelings of inseparable desire have ceased

I held your heart in my hands and kept your soul flowing through my veins

But suddenly is all you gave me!

No words, no thoughts-Just Suddenly.

Like a broken wing that cannot fly or soar to the height of expectancy is whats become of me

Forever grew tired and lost its breath with no escape of this destiny

Suddenly is how it ended and my eyes filled with wavering tears of pain drowned my sight

It found me on the edge of a vast dream and roused me to truth

Words that only echoed through the night is all that is left

Whispers of darkness have captured my life and it became suddenly.
