To mention also- that what we look for in terms of great poetry is less about technical prowess, complexities of thought or finest word play for example (not to say that these things are absent in the work we select) , than it is about imagery and the feeling created by what we read.

It has to dance.

(we couldn't find another word that better suited where we are coming from)

Anyway- that's pretty much what we do-

 As to why- because we wanted to create a place where people can come to connect with poetry that really does (for us) lift itself off the page.

Poetry dances.com may help lead to increased, reviews, ratings or comments for a writer on a site hosting their poems- it may not. At the very least,  it hopefully will assist emerging writers to gain a little more exposure for their work.
